The Shipwreck's Porthole Pendant A 14-kt Gold Splendor
One of the most coveted artifacts every wreck diver dreams of recovering is a shipwreck's brass porthole. It is a timeless work of beauty for few items survive the ravages of the sea as it pounds its fury against what was once a majestic vessel.
Exploration Design Studio-Xds has committed its resources to producing the finest quality specialty jewelry available just for you! We are proud to present The Shipwreck's Porthole.
Our dedicated expert jewelry craftsmen worked to capture the look and the essence of a late 19th century brass porthole design by John Rody Ltd. of Rainhill, England. Note the particular single hinge design and its two open dogs (wing-nuts). Later designs used a dog that looped around and closed like a letter "O". There are twelve evenly spaced bolt holes on the rim perimeter.
Weighing in at approximately 4 grams of gold and about the size of a nickel, this charm is of solid weight and feel. And like the rarest of discoveries, our 14-kt gold charm still has the glass pane intact! You can imagine gazing out through this shining portal at the deep blue wonders of the sea...

Constructed at 1/30th scale, this miniaturized artifact is made from individual pieces. It is not mass produced. The parts are individually handcrafted, polished, and inspected. Our charm is then assembled, polished, and inspected again. All of this is done right here in the USA.
Quality and uniqueness take time - so quantities may be limited. Our porthole will amaze and delight all that see it, for it sparks their imagination with wonderful tales of ocean lore. We know you will treasure this piece for a lifetime!
